Digital Photography

The Digital Photography Program Course Sequence is as follows:        

·         Digital Photography 1 (10th - 11th Grade)

·         Digital Photography 2 (11th - 12th Grade)

 

Digital Photography 1

Requirements:  10th – 11th Grade           

Year-Long Course:           1 Credit

Course Prerequisite:      Introduction to Design/Art         

Degree of Difficulty:       Average              

Digital Photography 1 students will demonstrate proficiency in photography and digital image editing. Students will be taking photos for school and community displays, the yearbook, school web site, and other publications. Knowledge of computers and computer programs are required. Students will be given the opportunity to compete in numerous photo, and graphic arts competitions.

 

Digital Photography 2

Requirements:  11th – 12th Grade           

Year-Long Course:           1 Credit

Course Prerequisite:      Digital Photography 1    

Degree of Difficulty:       High        

Students will be required to demonstrate proficiency in photography, digital image editing, layout, framing, application and create displays of acceptable still photo images. Students will be taking photos for school and community displays, for the school yearbook, the school web site, and other publications. Additionally, students will be given at least one sport and organization to be their year-long photography project. Students will be given the opportunity to compete in numerous photo and graphic arts competitions.
